Professional Details:

I work for Inspire Partnership, a community drug and alcohol service, and work as a counsellor at Afghan Association Paiwand, a community organisation and charity dedicated to helping refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. I obtained my PGCert in Addiction Psychology and Counselling from London South Bank University with a background in Clinical Psychology as my BA degree. Besides, I have undertaken courses in NLP, TA and Mindfulness and have done some online courses like CBT with older people by the University of East Anglia, Mindfulness for wellbeing and peak performance by Monash University,  Understanding Anxiety, Depression and CBT by the University of Reading and Psychological First Aid RAPID Model offered by Johns Hopkins University. I have extensive experience as mental health first aider in some natural hazards like earthquakes and floods in the Middle East region since 2003.

Outline of offer:

I use the principles of Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), Dialectical behaviour therapy DBT and CBT as my integrative approach to help individuals, reducing the symptoms of various mental health conditions, primarily PTSD, Trauma, depression and anxiety disorders also substance use disorder (SUD).
